Lynn Fitch, MSW LCSW

I’m a therapist, but I’m not interested in helping people become more “put together” in the ways they’re often told they should be.

Most of the people I work with are already thoughtful, capable, and high-functioning. But internally, something doesn’t quite fit. They’re exhausted from holding everything together, stuck in their own head, or quietly aware that the life they built no longer feels fully like theirs.

This often shows up as anxiety, depression, numbness, irritability, burnout, or a persistent sense that something meaningful is missing.

A lot of my work is with people in transition: emerging adults figuring out who they are, professionals reevaluating direction, or individuals navigating grief, identity shifts, and relational change.

Underneath it is often the same question:

How do I actually live in a way that feels like mine?

My approach is grounded in existential theory. Therapy is not about quick fixes or becoming emotionless. It’s about developing a more honest relationship with yourself, your emotions, your patterns, and the life you’re living.

I’m not a blank-slate therapist, and I don’t just sit back and reflect things back to you. I’m engaged in the process with you—helping you notice patterns, challenge assumptions, and stay connected to what’s happening in real time.

At its core, this work is about relating to yourself and your life with more clarity, responsibility, and depth—not becoming someone new, but becoming more honest about who you already are.

  • The primacy of the therapeutic relationship

  • The recognition of the uniqueness and beauty of each person

  • The awareness that we all reside within systems, both small and large

Core Values

About Open Space Therapy

Open Space Therapy was born of my own disillusionment of working within needlessly complex mental health spaces that oftentimes poured more resources into padding profits than they did growing and preparing clinicians to enact meaningful change. Getting burned by big pitches and grand schemes got old, and thus Open Space Therapy was born with the vision of providing accessible care without gimmicks. My deepest desire is to provide care that is accessible wherever possible.

Behind the Scenes

At the end of the day, I’m just a guy with a desire to help other people in different places in their lives. I view it as an honor and a privilege to bear witness to you and your life, and I both want to hear what you have to say and am deeply interested in all things you.

About me, the person behind the therapist:
